Project Background
At the inception of the project, we were presented with only a weathered blueprint from the late 1980s or early 1990s, hand-drawn with no accompanying old photographs. Subsequent attempts at commercialization had marred its authenticity beyond recognition. After much deliberation with the client, we aimed for a minimalist, natural aesthetic that would embody the essence of the project's name: "Eternal Seasons."The original building's architectural language was fragmented, with jarring colors tha
Project Concept
Ancient halls, from the halfway point onwards, were designed with a void space in front, forming the actual hall area. The term "hall" signifies a central and prominent position, referring to a structure facing the sun directly, embodying the meaning of grandeur and eminence.
The garden's aesthetic is extended from the porch to the entrance hall, creating a seamless flow and instantly illuminating the space with light and shadow. only the textured collisions remain, forming a grand yet refined composition. Free from extravagance and gaudiness, the goal is to achieve an elegance that transcends vulgarity and a clarity that resists obscurity. As such, all functions of the entrance hall are consolidated at the end of the corner,

The design is meticulously arranged, with varying heights creating a sense of rhythm and movement, akin to a trajectory with its rises and falls. It skillfully incorporates and borrows from the surroundings, emphasizing appropriateness and harmony. The key lies not in a preconceived notion but in the relentless pursuit of upward growth.

Small room, a lamp, a table, a cabinet, and an incense stick - ideal for gatherings of two to four friends
At the outset of the design, the most pressing concern was the four private rooms blocks facing the street on the first floor - Yilian, Xiaduo, Yutai, and Huaxue. Constrained by the internal brick-concrete structure, even with reinforcement, it was impossible to convert them into appropriately sized interior halls. Instead, we opted to forgo the halls and focus on the rooms, sacrificing some of the bustling atmosphere for a heightened sense of privacy and intimacy, ensuring that only those with
The incorporation of a central island counter could serve as an excellent starting point, offering a versatile space for tea brewing and tasting, wine pouring and decanting, as well as live cooking demonstrations, all without being constrained by formalities. In contrast to compact dining areas, this multifunctional layout maximizes the sense of spaciousness. Gatherings of three to five people around the island, raising glasses and enjoying meals, have proven to be an intriguing experience based
In spacious rooms, the sight of rain brings joy, yet one also anticipates sunny days with eagerness.
During the expansion of the exterior facade, two light wells were deliberately reserved for the top floor to better harness natural light. In terms of decoration, a minimalist approach was taken, which also serves as the most direct way for visitors to perceive the passage of time. As time changes, so do the light and shadows, creating a poetic and picturesque ambiance. The space serves as a container, but it is the stories and emotions that are the essence. Luxuriously, ample leisure areas are
